My April track. It definitely came about a bit oddly. Made over one weekend, which is much faster than I usually work, and it all started with tapping out a weird kick pattern on a Mutable Ears in gate trigger mode and realizing it was in 7/8 time. Took off from there. Lots of modular synth (I don't even want to get into the patch I did for the paraphonic synth that's filling in the upper register, it made no sense and I still love how it ended up), Dreadbox Erebus V3, a bit of 606 emulation, guitar, vocals.

Written for the April 2024 Sim Selections songwriting challenge, where the prompts included 'Under the Apple Tree, Faulty, Boring. With the options challenge: Relive a treasured memory through song.'
